Words are Fun (The Political Edition)
September 9, 2008Since I love words, and this is the year of the presidential elections and all, I thought I’d let you know what my favorite political terms are, as well as some unfavorites.
Political words that are fun to say:
Constituent
Filibuster
Incumbent
Caucus
Fascism
Gravitas
Laissez-Faire
Unilateralism
Political words that are NOT fun to say:
Muckraker
Bureaucracy
Oligopoly
Gerrymander
Perjury
Terrorism
Bully Pulpit

Filibuster is my favorite by far. Every time i pass by CSPAN on the tv i hope they’re filibuster-ing … although i don’t see that too often (or at all).
funny!
Come on, muckraker and gerrymander is totally fun to say! Haven’t you ever wanted to yell, “enough with all the gerrymandering!” You should try it, even out of context it feels great.
(uh, that should read ‘are totally fun to say’ not ‘is totally fun to say’. My bad.)
