I was driving home yesterday, and as I pulled down our street, I saw my neighbor hauling out his Christmas tree along with his trash barrels. This was a frightful sight for me, and I even shielded Berlyn’s eyes. It is February 1, and the time to throw out your Christmas tree passed 4 weeks ago. This is beyond unacceptable, and yes, neighbor whom I don’t know, I am judging you.
I wanted to wait until morning to snap a photo of the distressed Christmas tree, but when I went out at 7:45 a.m., it was mysteriously gone.
So, I went to google images, and this is what it would have looked like, but even more brown and sickly.

I hate to tell you this, but I experienced the same amount of shock that you described when I saw Jason’s Christmas tree still in his recycling bin this weekend. It must be a Man Thing.
Pat put his headphones on Berlyn and at first she was a bit scared of them. But after a few minutes she was laughing and clapping along.

Here she was listening to “Eleanor Rigby” by The Beatles
So precious. She is getting so big. I can’t wait to see her.
DJ Berlyn on the ones and twos…
She can’t help herself, she loves reading the Bible. I caught her perusing through Psalms and had to grab the camera.

Beckey-
I love reading your blog and looking at your photos! You make me laugh and you have such a eye for great photography! These pics with Berlyn are so great. We need to get the girlies together to play!

Berlyn, Zoey, and I went on a walk and I brought along the camera and Pat’s new lens. Here’s some stuff we saw:

Berlyn was cozy in her stroller.

Zoey let me do an impromptu photo shoot with her in the leaves

The walkway to our house was freckled with these little purple leaves.
Nice! I love the first shot, with all the roots. And I wanted to shoot the walkway ever since it was wet and windy — you beat me to it with fantastic results. Great work.
My ultra amazing friend Jenielle just sent me this photo this morning. It was taken right before I was engaged, and we were both skinny and we both had fantastic heads of hair.

Last night we enjoyed good food and even better company at a our good friends’ house.
I was feeding Berlyn and she kept pulling at her shirt, trying to take it off. It was so distracting, that I finally just took it off for her.

What she found underneath was truly a discovery.
