Chilly Day at the Beach

We braved the cold, and headed to the beach yesterday, it was a balmy 64 degrees, and my drippy boogers were making icicles. We walked around Main Street in Huntington.

All I could ever ask for on our anniversary is more love and kisses, but things that come in a Chloe bag never hurt…

My Weekend:

Friday night I went up to West Hollywood to celebrate Melinda’s day of birth with some of her amazing girlfriends.

I brought Sprinkles Cupcakes for dessert.

Saturday was such a beautiful day, we decided to have a picnic at the beach.

I almost felt bad about eating my delicious, yet gentle sea creature. Almost.

At this Barney’s, there were no oafish purple dinosaurs singing lame songs.

Seals and Scrabble

comments

I saw a baby seal yesterday at on the pier at Newport Beach. I almost jumped in the water with him and lived out my fantasy of befriending and swimming with adorably cute pennipeds. He was poking his baby face out of the water, but too bad I left my telephoto lens and tripod at home. The camera phone had a hard time capturing all the cuteness.

The seal is that dark murky blob in the distance.seal2.jpg seal.jpg

After an exhausting day of looking at seals, Pat and I played a heated game of Scrabble: scrabble.jpg

We used all the tiles and this is what we collectively came up with. I know that some words would be disqualified, like ijoyed, de and er, but we’re pretty proud of it.

Valentine Displays

comments

Here are some Valentine’s Day window displays I found at the mall last week. I liked them because they didn’t rely on a cardboard cut out of a gigantic bee wearing red silk underpants to say “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Don’t get me wrong, I love over-sized animals wishing me a happy holiday as much as the next person, but I just like these Louis Vuitton hanging chain-things better…

Grocery Store Photos

I feel like I have a pretty good knowledge of the grocery store, but when I went today, I found some tiny discoveries. So exciting.

I found out what I kumquat was. It’s like a tiny-miniature orange. I always pictured something of a pear or a pomegranate. Don’t know why-but now I’m glad because I have the correct fruit-correlation in my mind.
