Berlyn decided the sun was too bright. So we got her her glasses, and she actually wore them, instead of sticking them in her nose holes

How did I get stuck holding the basket?

We went to Centennial Farms this weekend. Berlyn liked the llama the best, and I mean, seriously, who could resist that face?

I am crazy about these photos, particularly the piggies. Llama is pretty cool, too. Is that an under-bite?
We were in the Orange Circle yesterday where everything is charming because it’s so old. It’s true, even this old man with a really bad hairpiece was charming. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of that, but I did manage to capture some photos of my daughter and some other stuff:

It was hot. 88 degrees to be exact.

Mr. Frank and Miss Snappy urge you to eat a Hofmann’s hot dog.

And of course we had to stop in at Muff’s. Hee, hee, hee… muff.
I love the Circle. I’ve posted about it a zillion times. PJ’s Abby. Muff’s? I’ve never noticed that before–good eye.
heh. Muff.
This President’s day weekend we celebrated our nation with a trip to a Mission. Partly because we were bored, and partly because we love looking at old stuff. Speaking of old stuff, we brought along my old camera and took photos that you can’t preview right after you take it. Weird, right?

Unfortunately none of these photos were taken with my vintage camera, because you have to develop the film, then get a disk, and upload them and that’s a lot of work, so I took these photos with my phone instead.

I just love birthdays! Especially Berlyn’s. She’s only had 2, but I get all nostalgic, and I feel like I should celebrate too. Like hey, I was a main participant in your birthday, I should get some cred too. But I don’t need credit, just an extra cupcake and some gentle recognition. So for her birthday we did something that I love to do, which is look at adorabe sea creatures!

We went to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and we got to touch sharks and sting rays. We saw sea lions and otters, and all kinds of other stuff. My favorite were the jellys. I wanted to take each and every one of the critters home, except for the sharks, the sharks can stay. Oh, and eels, those things creep me out.

Then we wandered over to visit my dad and his yacht. He let us go out on his little boat, and we cruised the harbor.

Berlyn just got a brand new potty. We set it up and right after her bath she wanted to “go potty.” I don’t think she knew that the goal was to pee in the thing, because she just sat there. We haven’t started potty training yet, but I like that she’s getting used to it, and hey, it’s a start.

Here we are at Laguna Beach. Oh, we are so precious.

All Berlyn wants to do in this photo is run into the water. I’m attempting to hold her back.

love the potty face. She is gorgeous. Ok. Time to get knocked up again.
I love the last picture. She looks like Tinkerbell…and is that her new potty she is sitting on? So cute! I love it. Happy Birthday Berlyn, you are the best little girl ever!
Love, love, love.
Here are some animals we saw while in Key West:

We found this giant lizard-dinosaur creature in the top of a tree. We thought we were going to die, but we narrowly escaped.

There were lots of chickens

This butterfly gave me the evie-geevies

This butterfly matched my shoe

Turtle-face

I was rescuing this cuddly little caterpillar from going into oncoming traffic, he rewarded my attempts by biting my finger. Ass hole.

Amanda and I fell in love with this sweet little lobster. He was precious.
hello… i love your blog. i’ve read several posts and have been laughing at loud… like roll on the floor laughing… which is really awkward here. mainly because i’m looked at strangely as i roll around at work. but also because everyone here thinks it’s their business to know what i’m laughing about. and it’s just not.
The lizard in the tree and the butterfly were enough reasons for me to never go to Key West. Hope you enjoyed your visit though!
Beckey! Love the pictures! Looks like it was a great trip!
2 things:
1) I believe it is heebie-geebies, unless you are referring to a related word which I don’t know about. (entirely possible)
2) The lobster that you fell in love with…was this the kind of love that made you want to take him out for dinner and a movie OR have for dinner and then go see a movie? Just checkin…

How amazing is this photo? Berlyn looks incredibly enthusiastic. But little does she know that that hot dress she’s wearing belonged to me. I wore it when I was 18 months old in a hanous photograph where I was holding a teddy bear and looking forelorn, much like Berlyn does here.
I can’t get over the oven mitt while grabbing the food. Too funny.
Are those Frye Campus boots you are sporting in the second picture? Because I want them.
In the last photo, Berlyn=Laura Ingalls Wilder. I’d be cranky, too. Life on the farm is HARD.
That last one of Berlyn is straight classic…what are the odds that you can track down the picture of you wearing it?
I love the family photo! It’s beautiful.

Sunset on the Puget Sound

The Famous Pike Place Public Market

I had a cappuccino at the original Starbucks

I bought my boots in the very first Nordstrom! Oh, and I ended that silly shoe diet thing. That was a dumb idea; not buying shoes for an entire year? Sheer stupidity.

This is my Aunt and Uncle’s backyard (Note: not view from their backyard. But their actual backyard).

This little snuggle pants was being fed by my Aunt on their deck. I did not use the zoom to take this photo, that’s how close he was. Wook at his wittle precious fingers. Ahhww, squirrelly face.
LOVE these pics…they all make me home-sick! Especially the squirrel shot…such a Washington thing…we used to feed squirrels peanuts right out of our hands on our deck as kids
Oh my … I’d have gone broke in the booth with the glass blown balls. I have a THING for glass like that and have a bunch hanging in our family room where the sun in the afternoon can light them up.
Here are some recent photos of Berlyn being cute:

She loves her dog Zo-Zo very much.

She also loves the park…

…and belly slides!

And the swing…

And especially her da-da!

these are so cute beckey! she’s such a good mix between you guys…beautiful
i like da da’s thick beard.
She is such a little doll. Too cute!
I never had a custom made basket with my name on it. We had grocery bags. Tell Berlyn I am jealous.
